The husband of the member was beaten up during the altercation. Allegations have been filed against the former Block President, who currently serves as a District Committee member for the party. The incident has sparked tensions within the local political community.
Following the distressing episode, the Panchayat Samiti member sought immediate assistance from the Bankura Sadar police station, requesting enhanced security measures for protection. While the accused former Block President communicated his stance and rebutted the accusations through telephone communication, choosing not to reveal his identity to the media.
